Daphne Miller, MD, is a board certified family physician and associate professor at UCSF. In her quest to help her immigrant patients who move to the U. S. and often develop diabetes and heart disease, Dr. Miller went on a worldwide quest to find diets that are both delicious and healthy, and then turned her research into the book “The Jungle Effect: The Healthiest Diets from Around the World: Why They Work and How to Make Them Work for You”.
